![]() I use it for tabletop and outdoor lawn/garden macro type shots. It's definitely my favorite of the group. Very stable and versatile, but it is bulky and takes up a lot of space in a bag. It's like the top of a tripod whacked off. The Slik Minipod is superb as a miniature tripod. It's hard to describe, but you can stick it almost anywhere. The Ultrapod folds down and the head flops over to make it shorter than it looks, but that adds some bulk to the side. A little touchy and finnicky to set up, but can be used for just about anything once you get accustomed to the method of adjustment. The Ultrapod is really nice for a pocket, pouch all purpose tripod. I have a Slik Mini II, Ultrapod and a gorillapod. I didn't look at the Mini Pro DQ (don't know if it existed at the time, this was five or so years ago) but I think I'd still choose the Ultrapod due to its versatility and small folded size. I have the Ultrapod II and consciously chose it over the Gorillapod due to it being smaller when folded, less messy to fold/unfold, and not really less versatile (you can tie the Ultrapod to just about anything using the integrated strap, just as you can with the moldable legs of the Gerillapod). I'm assuming u can fold it in half?Īlso the Slik tripod is listed as a 205mm folded length. ![]() The gorillapod is 10in tall which is a too tall. ![]() Out of the following three which ones are the most versatile and useful to have with you? I am looking for a tripod that will fit in a camera bag and will go with me anywhere I go (i.e hiking and self portraits). ![]()
